Spurious Harmonics: Johan Hegg Quits Amon Amarth

It was announced today that long time vocalist and Destroyer of the Universe Johan Hegg has quit Amon Amarth in a move that stunned the Metal Community of the world.

When asked why Johan left Amon Amarth, his band mates indicated it was due to the ever changing environment of Heavy Metal that has spawned many different forms of the music and the tours they were packaged with other bands of the multiple genres that caused Johan a great deal of confusion, grief and acts of violence. The recent 2013 Summer Slaughter Tour of Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu in New Zealand saw the pinnacle of Johan's reaction to the sub-genres of Metal by thrusting a axe to the head of Floor Jansen during Nightwish set out of rage and convolution to the shocked (or cheers, depending on the shirt the audience member wore) reaction of those who attended the remote concert.

When Spurious Harmonics caught up to Johan Hegg and asked what was next for his life, he said he found the desired peace and monotony in Major League Baseball. When also asked which team he joined and why, he said the only team willing to sign him was the Oakland A's as it was the only team that never heard of Heavy Metal or his band, and this was exactly the reason he turned down offers from the New York Mets.

A recent team expansion announcement of Big Bone Lick, Kentucky and Assawoman, Virginia almost destroyed Johan Heggs harmony, but was quelled when a possible Johan Hegg sighting near these towns resulted in the aforementioned populous threatening to never attend a game for fears of Johan's confused wrath being directed towards their place of residence.

His teammates in the Oakland A's have supported his endeavor as they find his violent abilities to be exceptional during dugout clearing brawls. In one such fight, after a botched pitch from Tim Lincecum of the San Francisco Giants that struck Johan's horned helmet, Johan charged rabidly toward the pitcher and decapitated his head in retaliation of the accidental pitch. The remaining Giants team, out of instinct for such fights, attacked Johan simultaneously, but in an act of going-up-against-the-odds-and-prevailing, Johan killed or maim 3/4's of the Giants lineup with the remaining survivors fleeing from the Norseman's wrath after seeing their teammates fall before his axe. It should be noted none of the A's joined the foray for fear of Johan's wrath that shows no discretion of ally and foe.

While Johan Hegg may not be a star player, his viking prowess has allowed the A's to hack and slash their way to the World Series and claim the title. Johan's future in the world of baseball is assured and already has a place in the Baseball Hall of Fame, even though he is new in comparison to the others who earned their spot after their retirement.
